There are lots of stories…including once (I think it was the first year of the R8 at Laguna Seca) when for some reason Jeannie kept missing (not leading enough) the Audi’s, the 35 mm prints were back half, back half, back half…and then, thank god, a front half…at the same place on the track. Scan (with a not-very-good scanner), crop and paste together (with rudimentary tools of the time), and send a complete car off to Malcolm for Daily Sports Car! (or was it Sports Car World, or pehaps Super Sports Car World, or Total Motorsport? More likely one of those.)
